A review of Ervin Laszlo's Simply Genius! And Other Tales from My Life

Early on the expression "simply genius" had become his password into the genius beyond. This password came to him through music. His mother, who first taught him to play the piano, told him when he was yet a small child, "Just live yourself into the music." Out of this experience came his personal code and talisman to overcome the onset of fear and find the courage to move forward into any challenge which might come to him--a password into the inner knowing, the greater knowing, and into what can be termed the Akashic Consciousness. I found it a deeply rewarding personal experience to read of the little boy, the years of growing up in a Europe overshadowed by fascism, the challenges of being a teenager growing up in the limelight, and then his passage into academia. By now, as he nears his eightieth birthday, Ervin Laszlo has literally lived himself into the "music of the spheres" and hopes to teach us to hear, and to live ourselves into that music--the music which underscores the lifting of humanity toward benevolent evolution. --Barbara Smith Stoff
