CORRECT ARGUMENTS
Let's dissect a true statement, and reword it to fit the dangerous truth. "It is sadly not evident that the world is collapsing upon the rise of materialism." Though the statement is true, it does not fulfill it's potential. Our media has a way of altering issues to seem less influential. The statement is an important one, and must be understood directly and wholey. 'People, the world is going to collapse due to your idiotic materialistic ways. which are selfishly harming environmental necessities.' This statement is much more blunt: and although it is true, it is inpolite and worded to offend. These are both examples of debate methods. The final one defines the situation and persuades a solution, it seems to be rarely used anymore. 'We have pushed the world to the edge, and upon it's collapse it will take us with it. We must put an end to materialism and keep the world stable.' It assumes the statement is a factual policy and offers an ideal solution; it is the perfect introduction.
