A NEW FOUNDATION

Successful shifts of consciousness require building our ideal on a solid foundation. The stronger our center is the higher quality “structure” it will be able to support. I advocate that the very essence of our new foundation be Love. Not the sappy emotional, needy love, but the Love that can be equated with Unity consciousness. This kind of love is an ongoing, focused and continual awareness of the beauty and magic of life and the recognization of each being’s special place within all existence. This foundation of love brings with it all the things that go with this kind of love. The realization of eternal life and our inner divinity. This is the love that drives out fear and allows us to realize that knowledge and wisdom will overcome ignorance and despair.

In this time of global crisis we have come to the breaking point. That we are in a time of crisis is in my opinion not arguable. Some believe the situation has been stabalized and that this emergency is over. This crisis is not over. In fact, the “worst/best” is yet to come. This global emergency stems from our abuse of the planet and our fragmented society. We simply globalized too fast without the means to support our expansion and without the proper shift in conscousness to allow us to live in a global society. We are not as a people unified on the necessary level. On a planetary level, we are spiritually and emotionally sick; our thought processes are broken. The symptoms of this illness are all around us, brought into manifestation by our thoughts. Pollution, war, political upheaval...

Our spiritual illness has caused us to abuse our planet and now the planet is fighting back. This is why we need to affect a global paradigm shift. I believe paradigm shifts begin with focus shifts. The focus shift is already in place.

Some in the New Movement describe the current changes as our world entering the age of aquiraious. The old paradigm that we are shifting out of is described in terms of the Piscean energy that has been dominating. I believe that whether or not these astrological concepts are truly What it Is and the essence of the reality or whether these ideas are a model used to describe the reality does not matter since it is a fairly accurate description.

This focus shift began with the forerunners and the prophets as I call them. Progressive individuals as far back as the Rennaisance who invisioned a different world. Those alive at the time saw this focus shift reach a critical mass in the 60s with a counter culture movement that has led a lasting impression. I believe this is where the integration required to precipitate a paradigm shift began. In a very compressed space of time, a large number of individuals had profound shifts in consciousness and began to put their ideas into the collective consicousness of the world. These ideas were not widely accepted or appreciated by the forces already at work. The movement did not die out though and could not be crushed. The ideas were out there and found their way where they most belonged and thus began a process of enrichment. This has led to movements that focus on Green, Holistic, Sustainable, Renewable, etc. This was the focus shift. However, the paradigm hasn’t shifted yet, because these things have not retuned our consciousness in a globaly integrated way.

In Newtonian physics there is the law that a body in motion will stay in motion unless acted on by another force. Applying this idea to our planetary consciousness we might further our understanding of the world as it now is. Our world has been moving in a certain direction and consequences have been reaped. An outside force in the form of crisis-which is actually in internal force of our own making has come to realign our consciousness and retune us to the higher frequency we must achieve if we are to survive as a species. It is fairly easy a task to find examples of how our momentum resists the change that is necessary. This momentum of ours makes it difficult to change as quickly as we should. It is imperative that we stop burning fossile fuels. It is imperative that we restructure everything about the way we live as fast as we can. But these changes are slow in coming. Everything from the way we grow and transport our food to the pollution from the very way we live needs to change. We can’t use clean energy because it is too expensive. Yet look at all the wasteful spending we engage in. We focus our energy on personal gain and more of the same even in the face of impending disaster. The general nature of our thinking needs to change. The paradigm needs to shift. Back to the foundation. With a new foundation of love and unity we could move forward as a planet to face our challenges together.

So whats holding us back? EVERYTHING. We hold on to failed beliefs. About EVERYTHING. It is nation vs nation, religion vs religion. We’re right and they’re wrong. This way of thinking is fear based and rooted in polarity consciousness. The beauty of life is in its diversity, yet we could still maintain our diversity while loving and appreciating each other’s differences.

The focus shift is already underway and the buzz words abound. Green, Holistic, Sustainable, Hybrid, Organic, Homesteading, Quantum. These are just a few words in our new vocabulary that is imbedding in the collective consciousness. What we are waiting for now is for this focus shift to generalize and facilitate a world wide paradigm shift. Forces resist change though and therefore we need something to help this achieve a critical mass. That something is a crisis in the form of breakdown.
