A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

The eye of the understanding is like the eye of the sense;
for as you may see great objects through small crannies or holes,
so you may see great axioms of nature through small and contemptible instances.

-Francis Bacon, essayist, philosopher, and statesman (1561-1626)

Imagine there’s no countries

Imagine there’s no countries
it isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
and no religion too . . . .

At the bottom of a good deal of the bravery that appears in the world there lurks a miserable cowardice.
Men will face powder and steel because they cannot face public opinion.

Our pure self interest led to the "I don't care about you"-society

For many decades we have… Continue

We must respect the other fellow's religion,
but only in the same sense and to the extent that we respect his theory that his wife is beautiful and his children smart.
