Ranting and Raving

I humbly apologize for my ranting, raving, and general lunical deleriums.

As a left-brained lyricist, I lean liberally and sometimes laterally, to the common norm that persists like a dreaded thread that keeps unraveling in my favorite Irish sweater.

I wish for the feel of grass under my barefeet.  Swinging off several low branches, I grasp a choll-vine and gracefully swing through the primeval forest.  Releasing, I flow into the turbulent river, for a ride.  Rocks swirl under…

The global emergency that we face is nothing new to our species.  As only being connective tissue for energy that has flowed for eons, and will continue to flow even after our imminent demise, we ebb and flow like the tide and sometimes the ocean changes and water becomes desert.

Let us not worry about changing the world.  Changing ourselves is all that is needed.  Understanding that small steps in life lead toward large changes, let us walk forward by recognizing the beauty that…

message in the wind

blow now through the sollen mist with wearied arms all a twist

your cancerous burrs caught fast in the web as you struggle to breath

excited nerves twitching as you look past the unhappy warrior at her tracker

to see the ill intentioned eyes as they stare ominously into your soul

you have lost all that mattered......we are in control now....be on your way....

for me meditation is like a drug--it calms me down, allows me to focus--when thoughts come, I go back to a mantra--sometimes it's impossibly hard, other times a breeze, but you know how different it is when you stop?.  It sucks.  No more 'calm', just mad at the world.  I do it 20 minutes morning and evening.  It makes you (even), more in tune with everything--more synchroniscity, more validation from 'out there', or in here..that's my experience, anyway.  Karla Sachi

Tim, I've been thinking about this so much, I totally am with you..what  you're saying.  I have this weird brain--probably because of being a full time artist 24/7 for many years.  I came up with an idea--I know it's a bit 1984, but I think it has credibility--regarding people in power, anyway.  My brother is a pilot--they have to be qualified or they don't fly...the major qualification is sanity--they can't have narcissists, psychopaths and sociopaths flying big airliners..they just can't, so they have to pass this psyche test, and the psyche interviews are ongoing.  My idea is , to find, and talk a candidate who is running for office into passing one of these exams...and holding it up, and challenging other candidates to prove--THEY'RE AS SANE AS A COMMERICAL PILOT--before taking the oath of public office, as OUR EMPLOYEE....Now we know professional politicians would NEVER pass a law to make this happen, but if one candidate challenged others--it would hit the media like an earthquake, and everyone would say 'yeah, why, won't you take that test--and what are you hiding?'....There's a brain scientist Josh Buckholtz, (not sure about his last name but I have it), whose been studying people's brains, those who have no ability to EMPATHIZE, or have COMPASSION...they just don't have it--can't experience it.  It's a narcissistic trait--and those who have no compassion are ruled only by one thing---------financial gain...they'd sell their mother for it.  Seriously.  He's been testing criminals in prisons...and elsewhere.

In a different study The Transendental meditators from Iowa worked with people, who have no frontal lobe activity in prisons, --and after 3 months of meditation--they started coming back --that area of the brain which was defunct began showing activity again--now it doesn't  actually mean they now have compassion, but it does mean they can now IMAGINE again, but their relaxation response works when before it didn't--after 90 days of simple meditation--

The brain scientist isn't the only guy involved  in this...if you google 'lack of compassion, empathy in brain science', you'll see how many people are working on this right now--I ahve a feeling a lot of these corporate CEO'S who don't flinch when they hear their actions are causing suffering---are part of this group....and I wouldn't be surprised if most of our 'pro-politicos' are out of the same POD.

What do you think??

As for my perplexed ant response/statement, wanting to hear more--I couldn't read your entire story about the ants,  till I copied and pasted the email notice I received from worldshift, and THEN could finally read your entire statement.  That was annoying.

I've been trying to cram all this into my cranium--it's immense.  I've been thinking....since I'm an organic gardener and watcher of wild things, whose experienced a few miraculous validations that there's one thing we're forgetting, and it's too simple, and it's this:  We people not only create boundaries around our individual bodies, but we also have created a boundary around our human species, that says, 'we're superior'.  As a collective we have separated our group from all others, and this isn't unique!!  Every race on earth thinks it's superior to another, every religion does it, and I'm sure, plants also do it--and bugs, and animals...why??? It's not complicated.  In order for a life form to continue, it must gather it's energy and say--"make more of yourself...breed...it's the Earth Life Force energy, that allows weeds to take over your garden, it's the wild birds who have the desire to care for their young, it's ants, spiders, trees...and it's  A STRONG THING, THIS LIFE FORCE.  That separation illusion is necessary for the 'ego', body of groups, and all species, to continue to exist.

If we can understand this 'why' of our ridiculous fears and behaviors, perhaps we can, rise above behaviors of common weeds and flies.    But as long as we see

ourselves as not animals, not having superiority complexes, we are living in our own

manufactured 'world' of human delusion and fantasy--that gives us the right to use

unintelligent 'resources', to feed our greedy faces, and plunder for our conveniences.
