Do you believe we're now in a global emergency?

Yes - social, politica, economic and eco SYSTEMS are all collapsing. We must "emerge" from the emergency!

What does climate change mean to you?

I've heard it referred to as Global Climate Disruption. Our consumption habits are putting tremendous strain on the natural world. In order to create equity for all living systems, we need to turn inward and reconnect ourselves with all creation. The changes in the physical world, like the climate, reflect a need for us to reconnect to our divine nature.

What does peace mean to you?

Balance between the self, the body, and the mind.

What does community mean to you?

A strong web of personal relationships all working in harmony together, working for the greater good and supporting one another.

What does politics mean to you?

The existing model of politics is being misused by corporate interests, mostly for profit. The bigger the institution, the more removed the politician is from the reality of the 99%. I am aware of issues national politics but put my energies into my town.

What does money mean to you?

I am making choices every day to buy local and sustainable, even though it costs me more. Even though I am a teacher and have been on a pay freeze for three years. I am doing more with less. I need it to survive, but I recycle all of the offers I receive for life insurance policies.

What makes you truly happy?

The feeling of being connected to my community, contributing to children's futures, a smile received, and a cuddle with my son.
