From Near-Death Experiences we know that we are closely interconnected and that everything we do has a ripple effect through the world and universe. We have focussed too much on our short term self interest and that is causing these crises in our "I don't care about you"-society. We should focus on long term we-interest, so that can achieve a more sustainabile economy and a loving world.

The current financial and economic crisis is tremendous, and I don't believe we have seen the end of it, although some economists see 'green shoots'. By now we know that the sub-prime mortgage problems has brought us the worst financial crisis in living memory and the biggest economic crisis since the Great Depression. And we did it ourselves. We all did, because the sub-prime mortgages are only the trigger. The problem is much broader, and we are all part of it.
