No need for collapse. Add overunity ("free energy") and the cost of things dissipates to zero. Check out My blogs. Yes, overunity exists - in at least one technology called electrogravitics (EG).

EG not only offers overunity but gravity control, and is a negentropic source, drawing on the "dark" energy Our universe is composed mostly of. Cooling rather than heating is the signature of its use.

It is non-polluting, too.

I started a petition to bring this tech out of black projects where it has been for over 50 years and hope You consider signing it and sending the link to others:
