The challenge - what would a sustainable economy look like?

Like our global energy crises there must be economically sustainable as well. We assume that because a dollar circulates from your hand to Wal-Mart’s stockholders hands that our economic system is sustainable - but it is not.

The problem is not money - money is merely as unit of measure. Blaming a unit of measure for what drives the heart of man, well is the nature of man. Therefore the first problem of a unit of money is the human heart. The second and real problem with a unit of money is in the growth calculation used for compound interest. Compound interest is based upon the mathematical rule of 72. The rule of 72: the interest rate is divided in the number 72 and the result of the number of years required for the unit of money to double in value. For example: 5% interest divided into 72 results with 12, therefore every 12 years the principal amount doubles in value meaning 1 becomes 2 and 100 becomes 200 but in trillions such as our deficit - well you do the math but realize that the interest will certainly change significantly by the time you completed a single calculation.

The challenge presented is that in a futuristic society such non-sustainable rules would be restricted from education and healthcare.

If this program was from the World Bank - what would be your response?

Any ideas or comments?

My friend from Africa says people there sometime have 10- 28 children. This IS a problem..and why our population is maxing out.

I was merely making a point too..btw

Do you know if there are trade schools that specialize in areas resource managment, reycyling and green technologies?  In the U.S.?  There must be--I'm not in that circle, I'm out in jungle in Hawaii---I was just wondering if this is something that's advancing poslsibilities for 20 somethings?

I think the question is, what are we prepared for?  The world has been fine without us, we are the newbies, and like a skin cancer are making a mess exterminating everything within our reach...What would happen if the grid went down?  Would we have short wave radios, gardens, water catchment, water purification methods, ways to manufacture our own hydrogen, or methane for fuel, LIKE the old days, horses, donkeys, bicycles, ETC?  No.  No long term plan, so, seriously....asking about economics seems extremely childish. If we were going out on a journey in a small weboat, would ou take nothing...just "wing it"?  No.  Well, that's what our species is doing--we're flying by the seat of our pants, and have our heads buried in  electronic devices, that, at the drop of a hat may go into total, indefinite blackout...and there we'd be, eyes crossed, bumps on logs, most not knowing anything about anything other than having heads  and ears buried in electronic devices, racing around getting quick fixes, buying Big Macs.  How many of us are like this, incapable of handling actual life without the sluggo conveniences, of our very very verey new---electronic age.  Talking about  a futuristic society sounds hilarious to me...we are SO NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING PREPARED for even the next ten years!!!  Trying to 'civilize' primitive culture's is a joke.....they're the only one's prepared for a global emergency, we should ask them how to make the big changes.

P.S.  When did the word OVERPOPULATION become politically incorrect?  Aren't most if not all our world's issues the product of our indiscriminate choice as human beings, to think it's perfectly o.k. to breed until we're neck high in poop, not like an intelligent society, but no different than noxious weeds?  We cull buffalo, elephants, bugs, but wouldn't think of seeing how our collective superiority complex which wouldn't THINK of slowing down our population, is the reason for mass exterminations of species. Wow. That's just sick--

"Overpopulation" is what is touted by the global elite to make Us accept the false scarcity They impose upon Us.  This planet is vastly abundant and can, as I said earlier, support a minimum of ten times the present population as is.  Add innovative food growing methods such as vertical farming and that number may rise to as much as 100 times the present population.

You are a victim of propaganda leading You to wrong thinking.  Open Your eyes and see that, statistically speaking, Humans don't even exist on this planet.

As you said?  Wow, you must be smarter than 99% of all the scientists who

know you are wrong.  How bout exterminating other species because of us...that

ok with you too?

Your earth based vehicle, is dependent on water, food and air...that's a fact. Sadly,

people sometimes get turned around when they disconnect from all the other life, that's been here a lot longer than us--who also need water, food and air.   We are hogging it all, toxifying it, even our electronics keeps lights on when 'life' needs darkness.  If you don't think you're human,

 try the moon.

You know...  Because of Your sweet and gentle approach, I will grace You with the ideas that -

a) Scientists can be bought

b) Publications can be bought

c) Journalists can be bought

d) There are Those with motivation to buy reports suggesting overpopulation is a problem, convincing Us to accept less and less while They accumulate more and more.

I'll even further edify You with additional food for thought:

Well, I could go on and on...  Anyway, "overpopulation" alarmists presume a number of things:

1) Continued reliance on petro-fuels like oil, coal and gas

2) Continued consumption-driven economy

3) Continued poverty (high birth rate)

4) Continued profit-driven pollution

5) Continued profit-driven rape of the planet

and a few others.

I have this posted elsewhere, but I will post it here again:

The Ethical Planetarian Party Platform

by Amaterasu

Have You tired of the empty promises of politicians? Have You seen the “divide and conquer” successes in everything from school teams to country identities? Do You want the planet to coexist?

Perhaps You might consider the Ethical Planetarian Party.

What is the Ethical Planetarian Party? What are its goals and platform?

First, We stand for upholding the three Laws:

1. Do not willfully harm or kill another Being

2. Do not willfully take or damage another Being’s property

3. Do not willfully defraud another Being

In other words, We choose to maintain civil interaction, face to face. The biological parent has precedence in the case of Our children, unless there is evidence that these same Laws are not kept with Them as well. They are Beings, too. Beings are any who ask for rights, or have Others of the same species ask in proxy if They are unable to ask, Themselves. This is not license to mal-treat beings of “lower” Consciousness, for all Consciousness should be respected. The goal is for as much of Consciousness to spend as much of the time as possible comfortable.

A quick, clean and honorable death for the flesh a Being eats, having given comfort throughout the life of any domestic food.

Second, We are predicated on the idea that Humans should be free to take advantage of the abundance of the planet by eliminating money through free energy.

Third, We strive to allow religious choice, believing that there are as many Callings as there are Beings, and as long as the Laws are kept, how One approaches that which One is, is to be respected.

Fourth, We expect the use of technology under these Laws, with peaceful intent, including free energy – the key to eliminating money. We know much is presently hidden in fear that We might exact retribution or follow folly, but We are of the opinion, based on evidence, that when Humans have no money, generosity and loving behavior are expended to help Those in need. With technology We both have personal awareness of and much science and anecdote grasped, We know We can eliminate money as a necessity and provide abundance for everyOne.  We call for the release of electrogravitics from black projects, where it has been held secret for over 50 years.

We are out to eliminate poverty.

Fifth, We will bring forth a website where problems can be brought up locally and People can “vote” to bump a problem up, down, show apathy by not voting, and chime in with solutions (which can be cheered and booed). Issues will drop off after the original poster indicates that the problem has been resolved or withdrawn, or there has been no activity after, say, six months (that is not set in stone).  Social responsibility will be defined as spending 15 minutes a day examining issues on this site.

Also, issues with some set number of bumps up will be considered issues that need a wider awareness and go to regional sections. From there, continental, perhaps, and then global, as more are needed to be involved in solving the problem. Problems will beget the awareness to solve them.

Without money as a motive, problems will be solved more creatively, directly, harmoniously, and within the three Laws.

Sixth, We are staunch in our support of an organic planet. Though hybridization is an awesome tool, genetically modifying organisms is NOT. Without money, there is no motivation to create GMO. We know that organics can produce on par or better yield and better nutrition than their petrochemically “fertilized” brethren. Any non-organic approaches to problems will be highly discouraged, unless it is seen that such a solution is the best.

Beyond this, sustainability is Our goal.

Seventh, We see that, without money, We can build machines – robots – to do all necessary work. Without work as an “ethic,” We substitute a “Betterment Ethic,” and encourage all to look for ways – within the three Laws and with organic solutions prized – to improve conditions on this planet for everyOne, and offer these ideas for consideration and possible action.

Eighth, We understand that virtually all crime is, on one level or another, related to money, and without money as motive, virtually all crime will vanish – leaving the very few, passion-related crimes for Us to deal with. We will deal with all crime publicly, and Those who care can and will decide each case. Most such choice of behavior will lead to social pariah-hood for the perpetrators.

Ninth, We support open source in all things We program. This allows for many to make suggestions for betterment, and ensures that no one will create outside the three Laws. It also eliminates “back doors,” and other surreptitious software segments that bog down the clean functioning of the program. Without money as a motive, programmers will be proud to offer Their work for scrutinization and use, openly and freely. Status will be gained for creating the best programs.

Tenth, We understand that food waste is rampant with food distributed by profit, abundant as it is but poorly and/or untimely delivered. Without money, food distribution will be based on need and not profit, ensuring that waste is minimal, food is fresh for all (no One waiting for the wilted cast-offs), and readily available.

***

Though these approaches are revolutionary, We understand that if enough People are on board, a fresh, free, fun, and fulfilling life will be Ours – and everyone else’s – as We choose. No One needs to change anything except where there is a problem – and then Those who care are free to solve it within the three Laws.

Without money, bureaucracy will become unnecessary, vastly reducing paper use, and streamlining solutions. Jobs in banking, insurance, and other such money-related industries will disappear, and in their place, the opportunity to spend time as One wishes.

Transportation will be free – for Ourselves, Our food and product systems, and any other transportation needs. This offers the ability to go where One wishes, moving food to where it is needed, and other freedom We presently do not have, with transportation energy costing so much.

We are a planetary party and decry any solutions that maintain a “divide and conquer” attitude or outcome, including stateism, nationalism, partyism, teamism, etc. We are one species on one planet, and we seek to benefit the planet ethically and wholly.

To join, merely state that You are a member. All that is required, as a Party member, is to inform Others about the Ethical Planetarian Party – send this link, or copy and paste to email this content.

Perhaps You'd like to join.

This is wrongful thinking.  Humans are being blamed for the consumerism that They have been taught, the disregard for the environment the corporations display, and many other ills that can be traced specifically to a LOVE of money (the root of all evil).  Humans are very loving, beautiful Beings twisted under the ill-fitting yoke of a money system controlled by a few.

If We had access to Our own overunity ("free energy"), non-polluting devices such as electrogravitics offers, there will be no grid.  We can use them to run water purification units such as the one invented by Dean Kamen.  We can run Our homes, electronics, appliances with this energy.

So the "long term plan is to:

1)  Raise awareness that this technology exists so that We can -

2)  Call for the release of the overunity technology to -

3)  Remove the cost of energy in manufacturing, transportation, agriculture, homes, & misc. so -

4)  The cost of building robots to do the necessary jobs no One wants to do becomes affordable so -

5)  We can relieve Ourselves of undesired toil, being supported easily at this point on social services since -

6)  Money will become unnecessary when the effort to collect the penny for the week's groceries (the room full of furniture, the house, the [fill in the blank]) is more than the penny is worth

By abundantly replacing the money with what it represents (meaningful energy expended), the need for money dissipates and there is no motive to promote consumerism.  There is no motive to solve issues the cheapest or most profitable way.  There is no motive to steal - if One wants it, another can be had for the asking on the web. There is no motive to defraud.  There is no motive to silence discoveries.  There is no motive to hide cures.  There is no motive to do what does not give One bliss.

There WILL be motive to better the world - Those who contribute will earn appreciation, thanks, gratitude, namr recognition and Self satisfaction.  Instill a Betterment Ethic in place of the work "ethic" (a slave's ethic - enrich others with One's Human energy).

"From Each according to BLISS; to Each according to DESIRE."

I'm beginning to think You are a pessimist extraordinaire...

My petition link once more:

http://www.change.org/petitions/us-military-release-the-technology-...

PS  I like a lot of your ideas...just not your take on population.  It's math..distribution of

water, poop, humic acid...the entire world is depleted of fulvic acid which is mandatory

for life, our industrial revolution sucked life out of earth, water and disregarded flora, fauna

and wildlife...as if the world belongs to us.  We are animals, in body...perhaps not in consciousness, unless we make God in the image of man.........which we do.

Hmmm...

http://www.fulvic.org/

http://www.deltagformulations.com/explainchemistry.pdf

Seems science is able to synthesize both humic and fulvic acids...and I found MANY places selling them online in natural form.  Not sure it looks like We have a problem on that score.

Distribution of water is an easy thing.  As I said, Dean Kamen invented a machine that the most polluted, nasty water could go in and safe potable water comes out.  Run it on electrogravitic free energy and the water can be available anywhere there is any water at all available.

"Poop" is only a problem in crowded cities - but with free energy, We would no longer have to stick to a grid.  Our "poop" can be disposed of by Our household robot which will dig a hole, bury it, and let nature take its course.  Or any of a huge number of other solutions.

If We focus on healing the Earth, it's not too late.  With profit motive removed, We can do that.

As just an aside...  The only reason We war on this planet is because the war profiteers incite war.  "If You want peace, take the profit out of war."  And the only way to do that is to eliminate the need for money.

Since I believe Consciousness is "God" co-creating the Now (Now is the only thing that's real...), I do believe I AM God; Thou ART God.  And as both facets of and the whole of God, We can choose to create heaven on Earth.  And it does not mean We have to rid Ourselves of People, or live in scarcity, or be wage-slaves, or go hungry, or any of the other issues imposed scarcity creates.
